Asian Arab Chamber of Commerce (AACC) Conference on Economic Diplomacy & Internationalization – Doha

December 1, 20250

The Asian Arab Chamber of Commerce (AACC) successfully hosted a distinguished gathering in Doha for the Conference on Economic Diplomacy and Internationalization, bringing together Ambassadors, diplomats, policymakers, and business leaders from Asia, the Arab world, and emerging partner nations. The event reaffirmed AACC’s central role in nurturing meaningful dialogue and advancing sustainable economic partnerships across regions.

The conference welcomed a powerful diplomatic presence: the Ambassadors of India, Germany, Vietnam, the Philippines, Liberia, and Brunei; the Charge d’Affaires of Serbia; senior diplomats from Guinea, Paraguay, Hungary, and Morocco; the representative from MATRADE Doha; the Counsellor from Liberia; and the Deputy Head of Mission from the Kingdom of Morocco. Industry leaders from Turkish Aerospace Industries – C TECH and a Fellow from the Asia Middle East Centre also added depth to the discussions.
A notable highlight was Paraguay’s continued engagement—having joined the AACC event in Malaysia and again in Doha—signalling a positive trajectory of growing cross-regional collaboration.

In his remarks, Dr. Asif Iqbal, President of AACC, stressed the rising importance of economic cooperation. He stated,

“Economic diplomacy is the backbone of modern global engagement. It brings nations together through opportunity, not ideology. At AACC, we remain committed to supporting governments and companies as they expand into new markets and form trusted partnerships.”

The Chairman of AACC Qatar emphasized Qatar’s strategic capacity to host such high-level dialogues. He shared,

“Doha continues to prove itself as a global platform for constructive engagement. Our focus at AACC Qatar is to convert conversations into tangible outcomes—investments, partnerships, and sectoral cooperation that strengthen Asia–Arab relations.”

A collective message emerged from the participating Ambassadors, diplomats, and the Member of Parliament from Qatar. They highlighted that forums like this are essential in today’s interconnected environment. Their shared sentiment underscored:

“This gathering reflects our mutual desire to build stronger economic bridges. Such platforms enable deeper understanding, support private sector collaboration, and reinforce the commitment of our nations to work together in areas that benefit our people, our industries, and our future.”

The diplomats further appreciated AACC’s role in enabling practical engagement rather than ceremonial dialogues, noting the Chamber’s consistent ability to bring the right stakeholders to the table.

Throughout the conference, discussions centred on trade facilitation, investment opportunities, advancements in technology and innovation, supply chain collaboration, and the broader role of economic diplomacy in fostering stability and shared prosperity. Delegates also highlighted the need for trilateral and multilateral cooperation, engaging Asia, the Arab world, Africa, and other emerging regions.

As the Asian Arab Chamber of Commerce continues to broaden its footprint, the Doha conference stands as another meaningful milestone. The participation, insights, and shared commitments from the diplomatic and business community reaffirm AACC’s mission: to drive economic connectivity and shape a future defined by collaboration, growth, and opportunity.
